Company records, 1868-1914.

Accounts and related records (41 vols.), letterpress books (5 vols.), and few unbound items documenting the operations of a partnership of commission merchants trading in grain and coal along the Mississippi River. The partners were Theodore B. Sheldon (1820-1900) and Elijah Haskell Blodgett (1832-1909), two entrepreneurs who were active in many Red Wing (Goodhue County) business ventures. The letterpress books, in addition to fleshing out somewhat the firm's affairs as detailed in the account books, contain information on other business and civic interests of the partners.
